Wrap It Up If You’re On The Road Alot!

Wrap It Up; Benefits of Vehicle Wrapping and 10 Houston Companies that Can Do It For You

If you are like me, an entrepreneur with a mobile business, you are always searching for cost effective yet highly efficient ways to promote your product or service. I have advertised on radio, cable TV as well as print media but if my research proves correct, these media types can’t measure up, reach times cost per advertising dollar spent, to commercial vehicle wrapping.

Since my next move is vehicle wrapping and I have already started researching the benefits and companies around town that can potentially provide this service to me, I again wanted to share it with those of you that read my blog.

A vehicle wrap, when well thought out and correctly applied, can be invaluable in getting your company name, service, new product or upcoming event out quickly and effectively. The concept is quite simple, the more you drive your vehicle around town to various client appointments, the more your brand gets seen and your message gets out. Keep in mind, not only are drivers noticing your vehicle wrap but predestrians also.

One vehicle wrap can generate between 30,000-70,000 impressions per day. If you drive your vehicle an average of 15,000 miles annually, you will have placed your message in front of 9 million vehicles. This figure  is not  even taking into account the number of passengers in those vehicles or even the pedestrians that may have noticed your brand as it passed. When compared to some of the other forms of media I mentioned earlier, including radio and cable, in which I paid monthly and billboards which can cost $1,000’s per month,  a vehicle wrap is a one time payment that can last from 3-7 years. Below are a few additional metrics to consider.

You can save 90% or more with a vehicle wrap vs. a billboard! A vehicle wrap can return 2,520 impressions per dollar spent on advertising. That figure represents 5600% better than radio spots, 7,200% better than a fixed location billboard and 252,000% better than those postcards that often gets trashed. What a way to impact your budget when you absolutely must get the biggest bang for your limited bucks!

A vehicle wrap empowers you to take your advertising with you out on the road. It gives you the control of putting your brand and message in front of the people. Now traffic jams are not a burden or hassle but another opportunity for your product or service to get noticed.

(Cool Whipz Feature) A Hot Bike Born from Adversity-Built for Victory: GAME OVER

Defeat is not always bad especially if you can process it correctly. Never under estimate the heart of a champion. A champion will transform a trial into triumph, a stumbling block into a stepping-stone and ultimately the agony of defeat into the thrill of victory! Such was the case for Mike Pruss of South Florida Choppers. After losing at a bike competition to a bike with a friction drive, Pruss challenged himself and his team to return with a vengeance. The end result would be a twin turbo charged chopper (did I mention it had a friction drive) that would place 12th overall on the biggest stage, the World Championship of Bike Building. The bike went on to grace the cover of Hot Bike Magazine in 2006. From that point on, not only has this bike changed the game, it’s Game Over!

Game Over has blazed many trails over the years including the path from Florida to Houston, Texas and into the garage of its most recent owner Davilon Carter. Carter, an avid custom car and bike enthusiast and owner of SouthCoastOnline.Net, a motorcycle accessory e-commerce site, has owned Game Over for a few years and has made modifications of his own to the bike.

Carter recently sold “Game Over” and is currently in the beginning stages of building a new “Cool Whip” that we will also be profiling soon.

Be sure to visit SouthCoastOnline.Net for your motorcycle acessories and apparel.

The Ecolution is Not Being Televised; Green is the NOW Color of Clean!

3 Specific Eco-Friendly Solutions to Traditional Car Wash Water-Waste, Toxic Run-Off and Harsh Chemicals

Just in case you have not been paying attention, many industry sectors are taking more responsibility for their products and processes and are focusing on more eco-friendly ways to produce their goods or deliver their services. The auto detail industry is no different and is also following suit. Habits are being changed both by choice as well as out of necessity.

Three problems exist with the traditional method of washing cars. They are as follows:

  1. Water-waste
  2. Toxic/Storm Water Run-off
  3. Harsh Chemicals

As it relates to water waste, the traditional commercial car wash uses approximately 45 gallons of water per vehicle to wash. The average person uses between 80-140 gallons of water to wash their automobile at home (International Car Wash Association). The traditional methods of car-washing requires an enormous amount of water and in many areas where drought and lack of reliable water supply is a concern, new laws and legislation are forcing improvements. Drought and other types of water restrictions will increasingly play a role in limiting the amount of water available for you to wash your vehicle.

Another major issue in the car wash and auto detailing industry are the chemicals and soaps used to clean the exteriors, interiors and engines of automobiles. Many of the buffing products contain a high degree of solvents, some wheel cleaners have acids and many of the all purpose cleaners and degreasers have a high ph concentration of alkaline. Not only are these harsh chemicals bad on the environment, they are no good for you either. There are alternative products available that will reduce or cut out your exposure altogether, to many of these dangerous chemicals and will deliver the same or even better clean and shine to your vehicle.

The biggest issue environmentally is contamination. What happens to all the harsh chemicals that run off the vehicle and on to the ground after the car wash process? The polluted water runoff containing solvents, grease, oil, debris and metals that come from both the soaps and chemicals used and off the cars being washed are often rinsed into the storm drains right from the driveways and parking lots where the washing takes place.  The toxic discharge often finds its way from the drains into the rivers and water ways where it can have adverse effects on the ecosystem.

There are 3 specific alternatives, to the traditional car wash method, I use at my company, Gloss Boss Luxury Auto Detailing, that can reduce or cut out water waste, harsh chemicals and contaminated water run-off.

1.     Optimum No Rinse:

No Rinse Wash & Shine is the most technologically advanced car wash system that only requires 1-2 gallons of water to wash the entire car. No Rinse Wash & Shine does not require rinsing since there are no soapy surfactants to wash off into the storm drains.

This unique product contains substantive polymers which bond to the paint and protect it during the wash. Therefore, No RinseWash & Shine offers greater protection and lubricity than conventional car washes leaving a sleek & glossy finish behind afterwards. The waste water in the bucket can be used to water the lawn or disposed of into a sink, where it will be treated!

Additional benefits are faster washes, ability to wash anywhere at anytime including washing inside the garage during the cold months, no messy water runoffs, and greater looking car finishes.
No RinseWash & Shine can also be used to wash motorhomes, motorcycles, boats etc.

Directions: Add 1 oz. of Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine to 2 gallons of water in a bucket. Soak a plush microfiber towel into the wash solution and wash one section at a time till it is completely clean. Dry the section using a clean plush microfiber towel.

2.     Therma-Kleen Vapor steam cleaning:

Vapor steam cleaning is new and improved technology that is specifically designed for cleaning automobiles inside and out. The Vapor Steamer uses a high pressure steam, produced by the pressure-adjustable efficient boiler to quickly blow off the dust, smear and dirt on all kind of vehicles surface. Probably the most unbelievable quality about this machine is that it has no water run-off and only uses an amazing 2 liters (1/2 gallon)! That’s less water than some of us drink in a day. There is no water discharge or run-off with this steamer so, there is no need for a drain or collection tank (a lot of places around the Country, requires (by law), for a mobile car wash / detail unit to have it).

Vapor Steam machines are safe and mild enough to use on all car surfaces and finishes. The car is sprayed with safe steam using a temperature approximately of 60 degrees C (140 F), leaving it clean and without HARMING or SCRATCHING it. This is normally used with cars that have daily uses (work, home, school etc…) with mild dirt on its surface.

3.     Freedom Waterless Car Wash

Freedom Waterless Car Wash products are water-based, readily biodegradable and an “Eco Friendlier” option from soap & water and the mess it creates. This option saves Water, Time, Money and Effort. It gives a superior shine lasts for weeks…maybe even months. It’s the safer, “greener” option to soap and water.

Freedom Waterless Car Wash has been designed as a high-end car-care product for use on any car, truck, bike, boat or plane. It is made with the finest ingredients available. Our waterless car wash product s allows you the ability to clean without using soaps, buckets and water hoses. All you need is two towels and a bottle of our product.

How to use Freedom WaterlessWash

  • Spray waterless car wash product onto surface and onto a damp, folded microfiber towel
  • Gently rub in the waterless car wash product with this first damp, folded microfiber towel
  • Quickly buff off with a secondary clean, dry, folded microfiber towel, before it dries.
  • Repeat steps 1-3 until car is clean. Follow detailed instructions on the bottle.

The Ecolution in the car wash and auto detailing industry is not being televised however, if you pay close attention you will notice the subtle changes occurring all around you in condo parking garages, mall parking lots and next door neighbor drive-ways all acrossAmerica.

Until next time,

D.Smith aka TheGlossBoss.Com.
